Welcome to WIMPS.
We exist to help drive sustainable and equitable change in our Littleton community and promote and support organizations that mirror our values of a more diverse, inclusive, and vibrant Littleton.

Our Work
Our Littleton-based grassroots efforts to make progress not perfection.
We work to ensure the community and local leaders have the knowledge, resources and opportunities to make a real change in society. We see our campaigns as collective efforts and tools for connecting and building a stronger Social Movement.
Our History
WIMPS originated during the summer for 2020, when George Floyd was killed; we organized the Littleton Black Live Matters Solidarity Walk June 18th 2020 to draw our community together during a divisive time. Subsequently, there were some issues with a city councilman who called one of our members and tried (unsuccessfully) to bully them into canceling the walk; when we called out the city councilman and asked for his resignation for inappropriate intimidation, the mayor (at the time) gaslit our request by calling us wimps during an interview with the Littleton Independent. So . . .WIMPS became our official group name.
Since then, we decided it was time to educate ourselves on the issues impacting marginalized populations, learn how to acknowledge privilege and understand where to begin the deconstruction of oppressive systems. During this process, WIMPS has connected itself with people and organization in Littleton who seek justice and equity here in Littleton. WIMPS members have worked to infuse ourselves into Littleton governing bodies by applying for and joining several city boards and occasionally canvassing for and consulting/supporting equity-minded candidates.
